Rentals tracks rental properties and bookings. Each property has a name, address, amenities, and notes. Bookings link a contact to a property over a date range.
Useful for: short-term rental hosts, equipment rental businesses, vacation home managers, anything where you’re scheduling someone into a thing for a period of time.
- Open the contact you want to link.
- Find the Business field.
- Start typing the business name.
- Pick the matching business from the dropdown.
- Click Save Contact.
If the business doesn’t exist yet, save the contact first, then go create the business, then come back and link them.
- Export your contacts from your old system as CSV (Google Contacts, Outlook, HubSpot, etc. all support this).
- In SJ CRM, click Export/Import in the sidebar.
- Pick Import Contacts and choose your CSV file.
- On the mapping screen, match each CSV column to the matching SJ CRM field. Skip columns you don’t need.
- Click Run Import.
The importer flags duplicates (matched by email) so you can choose to skip, update, or create new entries for them.
- Click Export/Import in the sidebar.
- Pick Export.
- Choose what to export (Contacts, Businesses, Projects, Items, etc.).
- Pick a format: CSV (opens in Excel/Numbers) or JSON (good for re-importing).
- Click Download.
Save the file somewhere safe. We recommend doing a manual export at least once a month as a personal backup.
